Money Saving Ideas

Having the job site ready keeps your cost down, plan head!

  • The crane needs a level area, approximately 30’X 40’, as close to the job as possible, in most circumstances.

  • Move objects out of the way including job trailers and materials that might become an obstacle when setting up the crane.

  • When doing trusses have your layout marked, braces and spacers ready.

  • I supply tag lines. However, have someone dedicated to the tag line, if possible, so the tag person does not have to also climb ladders and set, trusses at the same time.

  • Do not position job materials to be picked under or within 10 feet of power lines. If power lines are going to be an issue on your job, call ahead, so arrangements can be made.

  • Good clear directions to job site helps in your port-to-port cost.

  • Will sidewalks, leachfilds or septic tanks be in the area or driven over or outrigger pads be on top of them?
